Holly Jones is a watercolor artist based in North Georgia, raised in Memphis, Tennessee. With over 20 years of experience, she is known for her Southern-inspired style — classic and elegant with a playful twist. Working primarily with archival-quality watercolor, along with touches of ink and acrylic, Holly creates pieces that celebrate the beauty of everyday life, nature, and small-town Southern charm.

Artist Statement

Holly paints to spark happiness and bring joy. Inspired by the elegance of Southern living and the quiet rhythm of small-town life, her work reflects both vibrancy and softness. Watercolor allows her to capture this balance, creating art that feels both lively and serene.

Artist Story

Holly’s creative journey began with childhood crafts alongside her grandmother and summer art classes at the Memphis College of Art. Encouraged by teachers throughout her youth, she developed a lifelong love of painting. After selling her early work, she paused to focus on family while deepening her craft. Painting became both a source of comfort and a way to process grief after losing her grandmother and little sister, and today it remains her outlet for joy and connection. Through her brand, art by Holly J, Holly is focused on sharing her work more widely and looks forward to future gallery shows.
